On 11 May 2023, the State Government announced that eligible Western Australian households will receive a Household Electricity Credit to ease cost of living pressures. For some households, the payment includes an amount provided by the Commonwealth Government under the National Energy Bill Relief Fund.
Households billed directly by Synergy or Horizon Power received the first credit instalment in July and will receive the second instalment in December.
Households charged for their electricity use by third party providers, such as residents on embedded networks or submetering arrangements in certain retirement villages, can apply for a payment from RevenueWA if they incurred electricity charges at 9 May 2023.

Applications close on 30 November 2023. We can’t accept late applications.
Eligible households must apply by 30 November 2023 if they have not already received a payment from RevenueWA or lodged an application for this year’s credit.
